I’ve been tweaking my server settings lately and I think I’ve found a really solid balance for WAR:
right now it’s set to 60 minutes / 30000 score, and with 7v7 it usually reaches the scorelimit just before time runs out matches feel full and well-paced.
I was talking about this earlier with @zzziplex, and based on that I tried to apply the same kind of pacing to other gametypes (S&D, Domination, and HQ/KOTH).
Here’s what I’m currently considering as a possible setup:
S&D
- Roundlimit: 12
- Roundswitch: 6
- Timelimit: 2.5
Domination
- Scorelimit: 200
- Timelimit: 20
- Player respawn delay: 5
- No round split
HQ / KOTH
- Scorelimit: 200
- Timelimit: 20
- Autodestroy: 90
- Capture time: 15
- Spawn delay: 25
The idea is to keep the same feeling as WAR: matches that don’t end too fast but also don’t drag, ideally finishing just before the limit.
Before locking everything in, I’d really like to hear your thoughts:
- Do these settings make sense to you for public play?
- Would you tweak anything (scorelimit, timelimit, respawns, etc.)?
- From your experience, what feels best in 6v6–7v7?

looks like a great starting point for all game types ,you can tweek as more people play and get a feel for speed of the game and leave feed back nice job

- Killcam ON, grenades allowed
- Certain weapons balanced (e.g., Barrett OFF)
- Sprint 8s, Speed 210, Gravity 600, Jump 45
